Anna McCoy & First Tennessee

First Tennessee did it again! Senior Vice President & Manager Rita Mitchell pulled out all the stops to engage Tennessee's women of power with an intimate conversation with Coach Anna McCoy. Held in the beautiful Noah Liff Opera Center it was indeed an evening to remember.

Now is the time for women everywhere to empower themselves through networking and creating the vision for healthy & sustainable living according to Anna...all the women present were ready to "Act Now" and make it happen. Buy Anna McCoy's two books, Woman Act Now and Building Generational Wealth through any local bookstore or amazon.com. You'll be glad you did!

Neighbors Are Key

Are you using one of the most valuable and best keys to opening your door to a safe home and neighborhood? Over twenty years ago Neighborhood watch groups were formed patterned after Business watch groups. Crime has always been around but why make it easy for the intruder. Of course you don't have to have a "formal" watch group but something as simple as a newsletter or telephone neighborhood list can be a great start to the beginning of a safer environment. Many people use email or facebook but sadly "cybercrime" has been up. There is no better way to communicate than person to person. It might seem old and outdated but it has a proven track record. Introduce your neighbors by hosting an event with light refreshments and share your concerns or tips on how to improve communication for your neighborhood. Everyone may not want to join in but once you share crime statistics and other happenings around your area you may get their attention. Make a point to learn your neighbors name, phone or when they work, and if they'll be on vacation, etc. A small moment in time being kind and concerned takes you a long way. Remember to keep your home porch light on or surrounding house area this fall. Be safe and be smart by being "a good neighbor" this month.
